Scholarships
South Plantation High School Friends of the Theatre takes great pride in being able to award two scholarships to South Plantation High School seniors enrolled in the theatre program.
2009 will be our third year of awarding these scholarships- one to a student actor and one to a student technician.
Candidates must be a SPHS senior, an active participant in the SPHS theatre program, and submit an essay on a subject chosen by Friends of the Theatre.
Recipients need not pursue a degree in theatre but they must attend an accredited institution such as a community college, technical school, college or university.
In 2007 two $750.00 scholarships were awarded. In 2008 it was increased to $1,000.00 per recipient!
2009 scholarship applications will be available for download from this page soon for those interested in applying. Please check back in January for this form.
On behalf of all of us here at South Plantation High School Friends of the Theatre, we wish all of you the best!!
