Scholarships
South Plantation High School Friends of the Theatre takes great pride in being able to award scholarships each year to South Plantation High School seniors enrolled in the theatre program.
- Candidates must be a senior at SPHS
- Be an active participant in the SPHS theatre program
- Have been inducted into the International Thespian Society
- Maintain a minimum unweighted GPA of 2.5
- Submit an essay on the following topic: “My proudest accomplishment as a Paladin Player in the SPHS Drama Program”.
- Award amount per scholarship $1000
- Deadline for application and essay submitted, in a sealed envelop, to Jason Zembuch or Michelle Terl, no later than Monday, March 2, 2009.
Recipients need not pursue a degree in theatre but they must attend an accredited institution such as a community college, technical school, college or university.
The scholarship winners will be announced at a date to be determined.

The South Plantation Friends of the Theatre is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2009 FOTT Scholarships. They are Justin White, Crystal Gray, Josh Wittnebn and Joe Rawda.
Candidate requirements included
- Being a senior at SPHS
- An active participant in the SPHS theatre program
- Been inducted into the International Thespian Society
- Maintain a minimum unweighted GPA of 2.5 and
- Submit an essay on the following topic: “My proudest accomplishment as a Paladin Player in the SPHS Drama Program”.
It was a difficult decision given the high quality of the competiion. With so many deserving students, the competition was fierce and the selection process a difficult one. But of he 15 elegible seniors, only four could be selected.
Each recipient will recieve one thousand dollars to be applied to contribute to their continuing education needs.
The South Plantation Friends of the Theatre are pleased to announce the winner of the second annual FOTT scholarship. The "student-actor" scholarship went to Lauren Littlejohn. There was no "technical" scholarship awarded this year.
Candidates must be a SPHS senior, an active participant in the SPHS theatre program, and submit an essay on a subject chosen by Friends of the Theatre.
Congratulations to Lauren and we wish her the best as she leaves South and heads off to college.
